Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department providing high-acuity, adult emergency care on a fast-paced unit at a Level I Trauma Center. Responsibilities include assessing patients, maintaining accurate records, monitoring vital signs, adjusting care plans, preparing patients for exams and treatments, coordinating with the health-care team, supervising less-experienced staff, delivering health education to patients and families, and administering medications. Requires collaboration with trauma/ER teams, adherence to ANA standards of practice, and operation within a 0.9 FTE night-shift role. Education focus on preparing comprehensive nursing care plans and ensuring safety and quality outcomes across the patient care continuum.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
- Current RN license in good standing
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 6 months of hire
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) within 1 year of hire or as required by unit
- Experience: One year in direct patient care preferred
