Job Summary

Conduct emergency nursing care by performing the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients across the continuum. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care while partnering with families through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and just-in-time teaching. Coordinate safe quality care delivery through diverse interdisciplinary communication, timely documentation, and adherence to Wellstar policies and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. Mentor preceptors and staff to support workforce development and participate in evidence-based practice initiatives, value analysis, and shared governance activities. Maintain current certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, and TNCC while completing mandatory education and professional competency assessments.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates in Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing
  • BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
  • RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
  • PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
  • TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cer or TNCC-P - Trauma Nurse Core Course - Provisional (18 Months) within 18 Months
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS-P90 - ACLS-Provisional (90 Days) within 90 Days or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
  • Minimum 5 years RN experience
  • Ability to read, write and speak English language
