Job Summary
RN in the Emergency Department at Cobb Hospital (Wellstar) on a Full-Time Night shift (7 pm–7 am). The RN Clinical Nurse Emergency Department is part of an interdisciplinary team delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care in a high-acuity environment. Responsibilities include performing the nursing process, coordinating care, providing culturally competent care, leading bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds, promoting safe and quality care, participating in performance improvement, documenting thoroughly, and supporting professional development (precepting/mentoring). Requires RN licensure, ADN or Diploma with BSN preferred, and multiple certifications (BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS) within designated timeframes; minimum of 5 years RN experience; strong communication, teamwork, time management, and critical thinking skills. Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing
- Bachelors Nursing is preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cer or TNCC-P - Trauma Nurse Core Course - Provisional (18 Months) within 18 Months
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS-P90 - ACLS-Provisional (90 Days) within 90 Days or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills required
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
