Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, and care planning for emergency patients using evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, quality delivery and documentation. Partner with patients and families to set care goals, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and support shared governance activities. Mentor staff and students to ensure a qualified workforce. Maintain licensure and complete mandatory education including BLS, PALS, ACLS, and TNCC. Requires 5 years of RN experience, a BSN preferred, and full-time night shift coverage from 7 pm to 7 am.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cer or TNCC-P - Trauma Nurse Core Course - Provisional (18 Months) within 18 Months
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS-P90 - ACLS-Provisional (90 Days) within 90 Days or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
