Job Summary
Conduct emergency nursing care by performing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care while partnering with families for education and goal setting. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication, complete timely documentation, and participate in shared governance and performance improvement activities. Mentor staff and students to ensure a qualified workforce. Uphold evidence-based practice, research utilization, and all legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Maintain BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and ATCN certifications. Requires 5+ years of RN experience, a BSN preferred, and full-time night shift hours from 7 pm to 7 am.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cer or TNCC-P - Trauma Nurse Core Course - Provisional (18 Months) within 18 Months
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS-P90 - ACLS-Provisional (90 Days) within 90 Days or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
