Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department at Cobb Hospital (Wellstar) providing patient-centered, evidence-based care in a night-shift Full-Time role. Responsibilities include performing the nursing process, coordinating care through interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring documentation and policy compliance, and supporting performance improvement. Requires licensure as an RN (state or compact), 5+ years of RN experience, and current certifications (BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS) with strong teamwork and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing
- Bachelors Nursing is preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cer or TNCC-P - Trauma Nurse Core Course - Provisional (18 Months) within 18 Months
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS-P90 - ACLS-Provisional (90 Days) within 90 Days or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies with decisiveness and composure
- Excellent time management skills
- Evidence-based nursing practice and critical thinking
