Conduct direct nursing care for patients in the emergency department, performing accurate clinical assessments and developing individualized plans of care. Manage patient assignments by delegating tasks based on team member skills while evaluating evidence-based practice to integrate research into daily care. Document all interventions, develop comprehensive discharge plans utilizing community resources, and support new staff transitions through precepting and professional growth guidance. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and departmental committees as needed. Work night shifts (7p-7a) every third weekend with a 36-hour schedule.
