Registered Nurse (RN)- Emergency Department (FT Nights)

Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the Emergency Department, performing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Partner with patients and families to set care goals, coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, and ensure timely documentation of safe, high-quality outcomes. Uphold evidence-based practice standards, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and mentor staff to foster a professional development environment. Work full-time night shifts from 7pm to 7am, maintaining licensure and certifications such as BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ACLS. Comply with Georgia Nurse Practice Act and Wellstar policies while supporting shared governance and patient safety goals.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cer or TNCC-P - Trauma Nurse Core Course - Provisional (18 Months) within 18 Months
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Optimizes the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
- Practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills
