Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate safe patient care in the Emergency Department. Direct patient/family teaching and guide nursing personnel in Telemetry while communicating with physicians regarding clinical changes and diagnostic results. Respond quickly to condition changes, adhere to EMTALA regulations, and report child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality throughout the shift. Requires current state RN license, BLS, ALS, and PALS/ENPC certifications within 30-60 days of hire. Full-time night shifts (7p-7:30a) with a $10,000 sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 60 days upon hire and maintain current
- ECRN or MICN certificate required within 12 months of hire and maintained current
- EDAP certified facilities: Completion of required annual education
- Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current
- Trauma designated facilities: Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire and maintain
- Non-trauma facilities, TNCC preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
