Job Summary
Deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments while responding quickly to clinical changes. Direct patient/family teaching and guide nursing personnel in Telemetry, communicating with physicians regarding diagnostic results and symptomatology. Maintain standards of professional nursing care, ensure patient privacy, and report child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies. Adhere to EMTALA regulations and hospital social worker protocols. Full-time night shifts (7p-7:30a) with an hourly rate of $35.35 to $53.58 and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 60 days upon hire and maintain current
- ECRN or MICN certificate required within 12 months of hire and maintained current
- EDAP certified facilities: Completion of required annual education
- Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current
- Trauma designated facilities: Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire and maintain
- Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Non-trauma facilities, TNCC preferred
