Job Summary
Assess, prioritize, and triage patients using established clinical protocols while providing emergency nursing care, treatments, and life-saving interventions. Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered, monitor patient conditions, and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team. Assist with emergency procedures, trauma care, diagnostic testing, and patient stabilization, operating and monitoring emergency and life-support equipment. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and the interdisciplinary care team, educate patients and families on diagnoses and discharge instructions, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Full-time nights shifts (7p-7:30a) with a sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting
- MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current
- Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire
- NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- E.R. setting preferred
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Non-trauma facilities, TNCC preferred
