Job Summary
Assess, prioritize, and triage patients with acute, life-threatening conditions using established clinical protocols. Provide emergency nursing care, administer medications and IV therapies, and operate life-support equipment. Monitor patient status, communicate changes to the team, and educate families on diagnoses and discharge plans. Collaborate with physicians, EMS, and the interdisciplinary care team while maintaining accurate EMR documentation. Shifts are full-time nights (3-12 hours, 7p-7:30a) with a sign-on bonus available. Candidates require a current RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and at least one year of acute care experience. Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting
- MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current (for Paramedic Base Station ED)
- Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire (for EDAP certified facilities)
- NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current (for Non-OB facilities)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire and maintain (for Trauma designated facilities)
Desired Qualifications
- E.R. setting experience (preferred)
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- TNCC preferred (for Non-trauma facilities)
