Job Summary
Assess, prioritize, and triage patients with acute illness or life-threatening conditions using established clinical protocols. Provide emergency nursing care, administer medications and IV therapies, and operate life-support equipment while monitoring patient status. Collaborate with physicians, EMS, and the interdisciplinary team to assist with trauma care and stabilization. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and maintain accurate EMR documentation. Requires current state RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC certificates; one year acute care experience preferred. Full-time nights shifts (7p-7:30a) with a sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting
- MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current
- Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire
- NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire and maintain
Desired Qualifications
- E.R. setting preferred
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Non-trauma facilities, TNCC preferred
