Job Summary
Assess, prioritize, and triage patients with acute illness, injury, and life-threatening conditions using established clinical protocols. Provide emergency nursing care, administer medications and IV therapies, and monitor patient conditions while communicating changes to the healthcare team. Operate life-support equipment, assist with trauma procedures, and educate patients on diagnoses and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate EMR documentation and collaborate with physicians, EMS, and the interdisciplinary team. Work full-time nights shifts (7p-7:30a) at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital with a sign-on bonus available. Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and facility-specific certifications within required timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting
- MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current
- Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire
- NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- E.R. setting preferred
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Non-trauma facilities, TNCC preferred
