Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Electrophysiology Lab (EP Lab) at VCU Health (Days). Provides direct, age-specific patient care, administers prescribed medications, and supports the health care team with prevention, wellness, and comfort. Roles span Clin I–III with leadership responsibilities at the unit level; environment includes invasive procedures for pacemaker/defibrillator implants, ablations for AF, SVT, VT, and AF-related therapies; participates in studies and uses mapping modalities. Sign-on bonus of $15,000 for offers accepted by 06/30/2026. Requires Virginia RN licensure (or eligible/compact) and BLS; education path includes diploma/associate degree with obligation to pursue RN-to-BSN; preferred BSN and specialty certification for higher levels. Schedules include days and potential shift rotations; strong emphasis on patient-family education, team coordination, and adherence to nursing standards and ethics within a leading academic health system (VCU Health).
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state
- AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
- Clin I, Clin II, Clin III experience required as applicable: Clin II 12-24 months RN experience; Clin III 3 years of clinical experience
- Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized/approved by the state Board of Nursing; obliged to enroll in RN to BSN within 2 years and complete within 5 years unless grandfathered
