Job Summary
Registered Nurse RN Educator responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering orientation programs for new nursing employees and designing ongoing education, competency assessments, and annual mandatory training. Provides clinical instruction, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff; evaluates staff performance and supports quality improvement initiatives. Maintains records of education, certifications, and competencies; collaborates with nursing leadership to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes; develops educational materials, policies, procedures, and evidence-based learning resources; stays current on nursing best practices and healthcare regulations; supports continuing education and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, or related field preferred
- Previous teaching, precepting, or staff education experience preferred
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
