Job Summary
Registered Nurse – RN – Dialysis role providing clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients on hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation; may coordinate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians; participates in education and quality improvement; potential to be Preceptor; contributes to post-dialysis data collection and treatment adjustments, medication administration, emergency response, and education for patients and families; leadership, mentoring, and integration within the Interdisciplinary Team; CAP 2 track with requirements to complete CAP and advance through program; requires state nursing licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and relevant nephrology nursing experience. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
- Minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN
