Job Summary
Manage the successful operation of the Resident Care Department by providing direct oversight, coaching, and supervision of all resident care service providers. Conduct external and internal assessments while delivering on-floor nursing support and interacting with family members. Ensure compliance with resident care regulations, including medication management, and maintain accurate record-keeping. Demonstrate personal and resident safety methods and procedures. Available to take on-call shifts as identified by the community. Requires a Registered Nurse license, minimum one year in assisted living or hospice, and two years in a care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Being a Registered Nurse, per state regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year Assisted Living/Home Care or Hospice experience as a RN
- 2 years' experience in a care setting as a RN
- Certified in Gerontology through the American Nurses Credentialing Association
- Knowledge of Dementia care
- Ability to lift 50 pounds individually
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to be on call as identified by the community
