Assess, diagnose, and implement individualized plans of care for patients using the nursing process while anticipating status changes and modifying care as needed. Advocate for patient autonomy, ensure informed consent, and mentor student nurses, externs, and residents through effective communication and knowledge exchange. Manage interpersonal relationships, delegate care appropriately, and contribute to research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Prioritize time to optimize patient outcomes and actively seek feedback to improve performance within the shared governance nursing model.
