Job Summary
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures in the Cath Lab at St. Vincent and St. Mary's Hospitals. Maintain a dedicated on-call schedule from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, with weekend coverage from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., while completing four mandatory shifts monthly from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute response time requirement. Ensure rapid deployment to diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral, and neuro cases, including device implants, adhering to a week-and-off pay structure for 80 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice
- Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice
- 3 years of nursing experience in a cardiac cath lab (if assigned to Cath Lab)
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral and neuro cases, as well as device implants (if assigned to Cath Lab)
- 1 year of nursing experience in designated area (if assigned to OR, CVOR, GI/Endo, Interventional Radiology)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (for Cath Lab, GI/Endo and Interventional Radiology)
- Must be within a 30 minute response time
- Must be available for On Call - 3:30p-7:00am (Monday - Friday)
- Must be available for Weekends on call 24 hours (Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-7:00am)
- Must be available for 4 mandatory RN shifts a month included (7:00am-3:30pm)
- Must be located within a 30 minute response time of the facility
- Must be able to work a Salaried position: Monday to Monday - on a week and off a week (paid for 80 hours)
- Must be able to pick up shifts during the off week that will pay as overtime
