Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) plans, coordinates, and provides total nursing care for residents and supervises clinical staff. Responsibilities include initiating and leading individualized care plans, assessing residents, implementing physician orders, administering medications and starting IVs, and supervising LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs. The role requires coordinating nursing care with therapy schedules, participating in orientation and in-service training, ensuring compliance with applicable rules, and maintaining effective communication with residents and families. Strong leadership, teamwork, and the ability to react decisively in emergencies are essential, supported by an active RN license and CPR certification. Shift noted as Days in a long-term care/skilled nursing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing
- Valid RN license in the state employed
- Valid CPR certification
- One year of nursing experience preferred
