Job Summary
Collaborate with patients and the healthcare team to determine health goals, revise care plans, and establish personal rapport to understand specific care requirements. Provide nursing care consistent with institutional policies, promote patient independence through education on conditions and medications, and offer emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. Maintain awareness of unit quality indicators, participate in performance improvement programs, and adhere to infection-control protocols and medication regulations. Serve in a rotational charge nurse role after the six-month orientation period. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, 12 months acute care experience, and current DC RN licensure. Three 12-hour day shifts (7:30am–8:00pm) every other weekend are required.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- 12 months RN nursing
- Three 12-hour shifts Days, 7:30am-8:00pm, every other weekend
