Job Summary
Conduct nursing assessments of physical and mental health and coordinate client care including crisis planning, discharge planning, and care coordination. Work within a multi-disciplinary team in a psychiatric crisis-centered environment to provide medical psychiatric assistance to adult consumers with mental illness or co-occurring disorders. Implement health strategies and disease management models to empower consumers while maintaining confidentiality and following detailed instructions. Perform duties requiring lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for eight hours, and frequent repetitive motions. Full-time 12-hour shifts available from 7a-7:30p with a starting pay of $37+ per hour plus stacking differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma license: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Requires completion of Registered Nurse [RN] Program
- Current Registered Nurse [RN] in the State of Oklahoma
- Must be able to lift and/or maneuver a minimum of 50 pounds
- Able to follow oral and written instructions
- Skill in exercising judgment, initiative self-control, patience in following detailed and or written instructions
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for a minimum of 8 hours at a time during each shift
Desired Qualifications
- One-year experience in the psychiatric field preferred
- Previous experience in psychiatric inpatient setting is preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge of co-occurring disorders and appropriate interventions
- Requires knowledge of professional Registered Nurse [RN] practice care techniques and medical procedures, medical supplies, sanitation and personal hygiene; and of nutrition
- Skill in planning, organizing, and applying nursing care techniques working with clients with mental illness and co-occurring disorders
- Skill in maintaining a sympathetic and harmonious relationship with consumers with mental illness and co-occurring disorders
