Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in NICU responsible for educating patients and families, serving as a role model for Level I nurses, using electronic resources to support best practices, ensuring professionalism and adherence to ANA standards, delegating non-nursing duties appropriately, developing a care plan tailored to patient population, identifying changes in patient condition and initiating corrective action, mentoring students and team members, conducting purposeful rounds from patient/family perspectives, performing literature searches and applying findings to practice, and contributing to evidence-based changes in clinical care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Passing score on NCLEX
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Current Maryland State nursing license
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area
