Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care activities for patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in accordance with HHS standards. Demonstrate knowledge of patient growth and development to interpret data reflective of age-specific needs and modify the plan of care as required. Adhere to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and provide care appropriate to the assigned patient population. Requires a state-approved RN license, BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and ACLS and NIHSS certifications. Full-time night shift position at Hillcrest Medical Center, a 656-bed facility featuring the Oklahoma Heart Institute and advanced cancer treatment technology.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a state approved Registered Nurse Program
- Valid State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License
- BLS certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certified
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit
- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
- Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status
- Interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs
- Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care
- Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act
