Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care activities for patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in accordance with HHS standards. Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific patient needs and interpret data to identify requirements relative to life-span development. Develop, modify, and implement plans of care while adhering to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act. Maintain BLS certification within 14 days of hire and hold ACLS and NIHSS certifications. Provide night shift, full-time coverage at Hillcrest Medical Center's 656-bed facility, which includes the Oklahoma Heart Institute and specialized centers for burn, women's health, and cancer treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a state approved Registered Nurse Program
- Valid State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certified
