Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care activities in accordance with HHS standards to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care for the assigned CVICU unit. Demonstrate knowledge of patient growth and development across the lifespan, interpret data to identify age-specific requirements, and develop or modify plans of care per hospital policies. Adhere to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and ensure all care protocols align with facility standards. Requires a state-approved RN program, valid Oklahoma license, and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Night shift, full-time role at Hillcrest Medical Center's 656-bed facility.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a state approved Registered Nurse Program
- Valid State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License
- BLS certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certified
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit
- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
- Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status
- Interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs
- Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards
- Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act
