Job Summary
RN in Neuro Critical Care Float Pool: Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized patient care on a nursing unit with supervision of non-RN personnel. Functions include precepting new staff, serving as charge nurse, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and execute plans of care. Demonstrates neuro-focused skills (neuro assessment, airway management, care of tracheostomy patients, suctioning, ventilator care) and teaches patients and families through the Tia program. Requires BSN preferred, CT RN license, and 1 year acute nursing experience; BLS required; familiarity with EHRs and performance in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing; BSN Preferred
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- 1 Year acute nursing experience required
- BLS Required
- Proficient In Use Of Computer Software To Include Electronic Patient Records
- Ability To Use Internet For Literature Searches Regarding Care For Patients
