Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care Float Pool supports multiple units within the organization, including Cardiac ICU/CTICU and Neuro-focused areas. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care; supervising non-RN personnel; serving as charge nurse; facilitating education for patients and families; collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes; and caring for critically ill and neuro patients, including those on ventilators, with airway management and specialized procedures (e.g., endotracheal suctioning, tracheostomy care). Requires nursing licensure, BCLS certification, and BSN preferred; supports ongoing professional development through program opportunities and adherence to unit policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
