Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in a Critical Care Float Pool role overseeing patient care on a nursing unit. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing, communicating and documenting plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team, implementing and coordinating care, evaluating outcomes, and revising plans as needed. Acts as a preceptor to new staff and may serve as Charge Nurse. Demonstrates neuro-specific skills (neuro assessment, airway management, care for trached patients, and neuro procedures) and supports the Tia teaching program. Requires BSN (preferred), and 1 year Neonatal ICU RN experience; valid CT RN license; BLS required. Provides education to patients and families and supports overall department operations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- 1 year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
