Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in a Critical Care Float Pool role. Responsibilities include assessing the patient’s physical and psychosocial condition; developing, communicating and documenting a plan of care; implementing and coordinating the plan with the healthcare team; evaluating effectiveness and readiness for discharge; planning education for patients and families; serving as a preceptor to new staff and functioning as a charge nurse. Demonstrates competency in neuro care, neuro assessment, airway management of neuro patients, care of trached patients, and involvement in Neuro procedures. Knowledge and use of the Tia Teaching Program and ability to perform pharyngeal, endotracheal, and tracheostomy care; experience with ventilated patients. BSN preferred; proficient in electronic patient records; 1 year NICU RN experience required; CT RN license; BLS required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- 1 Year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
