Job Summary
RN in the Critical Care/CCU unit providing individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care using the nursing process. Responsibilities include medication administration and reconciliation, developing and updating an individualized plan of care, thorough documentation, patient and family-centered care, timely discharge planning, and active participation in safety, quality, and compliance initiatives. Requires strong clinical assessment, communication across care teams, familiarity with hospital policies, and proficiency with healthcare technology and privacy/security practices. Minimum education is nursing program completion with RN licensure; certifications such as BLS and other department-specific prerequisites may be required.
Required Qualifications
- RN license (Registered Nurse)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification may be required
- Emergency Response Training Certification may be required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification may be required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification may be required
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) Certification may be required
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required
