Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Critical Care (CCU) working 36 hours per week with night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM, three shifts per week). Responsibilities include medication administration, medication reconciliation, patient care planning and documentation, patient and family-centered care, safety/quality practices, professional development, technology usage (Lotus Notes and department software), compliance with policies, and age/cultural considerations. Requires RN licensure and may require BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, and TCAR certifications as dictated by department, with the MA Nurse Practice Act adherence. Minimum education is the completion of an accredited School of Nursing; exact degree not specified.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (minimum education preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required
- Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act familiarity
