Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Critical Care (CCU) responsible for individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care using the nursing process. Duties include medication administration and reconciliation, planning and documenting patient care, patient/family education, safe discharge planning, and adherence to department and hospital policies. Ensures patient safety through identification checks, hand hygiene, regulatory compliance, and privacy protections. Utilizes Lotus Notes and department software; participates in professional development; collaborates across disciplines to maintain a culture of safety and high-quality care; supports ethical decision-making and effective communication with the care team. Minimum education is completion of an accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure; various advanced life support certifications may be required depending on department. Minimum work experience in acute care preferred. Location: Pembroke, MA (US).
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BLS Certification (may be required)
- ACLS Certification (may be required)
- NRP Certification (may be required)
- PALS Certification (may be required)
- TNCC Certification (may be required)
- TCAR Certification (may be required)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or equivalent
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent
- User of patient information privacy/protection standards
- Knowledge of MA Nurse Practice Act
- Medication administration and reconciliation
- Documentation for narcotics and patient care
