Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care (CCU) providing individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care using the nursing process. Responsibilities include medication administration and reconciliation, development and communication of individualized plans of care, timely admission assessments, ongoing patient assessment and documentation per unit standards, patient/family education and engagement, discharge planning, and maintaining a culture of safety. Requires compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and ongoing professional development. Certifications may include BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, and TCAR as departmentally required. Demonstrates professional collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and proficient use of department technology and information systems.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse license in MA
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of acute care RN experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications (as departments may require)
- NRP/PALS/TNCC/TCAR may be required depending on department
- Knowledge of medication administration and nursing process
- Ability to document and communicate plan of care
- Familiarity with patient safety and HIPAA/privacy requirements
- Experience with patient/family centered care and discharge planning
- Proficiency with healthcare technology and documentation systems (e.g., Lotus Notes or equivalent)
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards in a hospital setting
- Ability to work 36 hours per week, night shift (7pm-7:30am)
