Job Summary
Manage individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and documentation of patient outcomes. Administer medications per SSH policies, complete reconciliation processes, and verify narcotic counts. Develop and update prioritized plans of care for each patient, initiating admission assessments within eight hours and reassessing comfort levels using appropriate pain scales. Ensure patient safety by verifying identification prior to invasive procedures, adhering to CDC hand hygiene guidelines, and responding to hospital codes. Collaborate with the clinical team to address ethical questions, facilitate discharge by noon, and communicate daily plans via whiteboard. Maintain compliance with legal standards, privacy protocols, and mandatory education requirements while utilizing departmental software and Lotus Notes.

- RN - Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience
