Job Summary
Administer medications, complete reconciliation processes, and document narcotic withdrawals per South Shore Hospital policies. Develop and update individualized plans of care, initiate admission assessments within eight hours, and reassess patient comfort using appropriate pain scales. Verify patient identification with two identifiers before invasive procedures, comply with CDC hand hygiene guidelines, and ensure the environment meets regulatory requirements. Foster a culture of safety, communicate daily plans via whiteboard, and facilitate discharges by noon. Maintain professional development through evidence-based practice and mandatory education, while safeguarding patient privacy and addressing ethical concerns with the clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Previous Acute Care RN experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
