Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for Critical Care (CCU) with a 36-hour weekly night schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 3 shifts/week). Responsible for individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care using the nursing process, including medication administration, plan of care development and documentation, patient/family-centered care, discharge planning, and ensuring safety and quality through adherence to hospital policies. Responsibilities include medication administration and reconciliation, documentation of care per unit standards, assessment and reassessment of patient needs, effective communication of the plan of day, and collaborative care with the health care team. Requires adherence to regulatory and privacy standards, continuing professional development, and demonstration of critical thinking and interprofessional collaboration. Minimum education is a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with preferred acute care RN experience; licensure as RN in MA and relevant certifications may be required depending on department (BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, TCAR).
