Job Summary
Manage individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through assessment, planning, and implementation of treatments per departmental policies. Administer medications, complete reconciliation processes, and document narcotic withdrawals and discrepancies accurately. Develop and update prioritized plans of care, initiating admissions within eight hours and reassessing patient needs continuously. Ensure safety by verifying patient identification, adhering to CDC hand hygiene guidelines, and responding to hospital codes. Collaborate with patient families to plan and evaluate care, raising ethical concerns with the clinical team when necessary. Utilize technological solutions like Lotus Notes and maintain compliance with legal standards, privacy protocols, and mandatory education requirements.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience
