Job Summary
Manage individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through assessment, planning, and implementation of treatment services in accordance with departmental policies. Administer medications, complete reconciliation processes, and document narcotic withdrawals and discrepancies per SSH procedures. Develop and update prioritized plans of care, initiate admission assessments within eight hours, and reassess patient comfort using appropriate pain scales. Verify patient identification prior to invasive procedures, comply with CDC hand hygiene guidelines, and participate in hospital codes and emergency preparedness. Collaborate with patients and families to represent their needs, raise ethical concerns, and facilitate discharge by noon. Utilize Lotus Notes and required software applications while maintaining awareness of downtime protocols.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience
