Job Summary
Manage individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through assessment, planning, and implementation of treatment services. Administer medications per SSH policies, complete reconciliation processes, and document narcotic withdrawals and discrepancies accurately. Develop and update prioritized plans of care, initiate admission assessments within eight hours, and reassess patient comfort using appropriate pain scales. Verify patient identification with two identifiers prior to invasive procedures, comply with CDC hand hygiene guidelines, and ensure the environment meets regulatory requirements. Foster a culture of safety, communicate daily plans via whiteboard, and facilitate discharge transfers by noon. Collaborate with patient families, raise ethical concerns with the clinical team, and utilize Lotus Notes and required software applications. Maintain professional development by obtaining five contact hours annually and practice within the legal boundaries of the MA Nurse Practice Act.

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience
