Job Summary
CCU RN role providing individualized nursing care using the nursing process for adult critical care patients. Responsibilities include medication administration, medication reconciliation, documentation, planning and updating patient care plans, discharge/transfer facilitation, and ensuring patient/family-centered care. Emphasizes patient safety, regulatory compliance, and professional development; requires proficiency with department technology and adherence to hospital policies. Night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), 36 hours/week. Minimum education noted as nursing program graduate; multiple certifications may be required depending on department.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required
