Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Critical Care (CCU) handling 36 hours per week with night rotations (7:00 PM–7:30 AM, x3 per week). Provides individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and delivery of care per SSH policies. Responsibilities include medication administration and reconciliation, documenting narcotic administration and counts, developing and updating patient care plans, discharge planning, and ensuring patient/family-centered care. Maintains safety and quality through adherence to CDC hand hygiene, universal precautions, regulatory requirements, and privacy/security policies. Requires RN licensure and compliance with relevant certifications; practice emphasizes professional development, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Minimum education indicates graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; preferred/required certifications may include BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, and TCAR as applicable by department. - Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required
