Job Summary
Manage individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through assessment, planning, and documentation in accordance with South Shore Hospital policies. Administer medications, verify patient identification, and maintain a culture of safety by adhering to CDC hand hygiene guidelines and emergency preparedness protocols. Develop and update prioritized plans of care, assess pain levels, and facilitate discharge or transfer by 12:00 PM while actively communicating patient/family needs and ethical concerns. Utilize technology such as Lotus Notes and departmental software to support workflows and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and privacy standards. Requires RN license, acute care experience, and certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NRP. Schedule is 36 hours/week, nights (7 PM–7:30 AM) three times weekly.

- RN - Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum Education - Preferred
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience preferred
