Job Summary
Manage individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through assessment, planning, and implementation of care processes aligned with departmental policies. Administer medications, perform reconciliations, and document narcotic withdrawals and discrepancies per South Shore Hospital standards. Develop and update prioritized problem lists, conduct admission assessments within eight hours, and reassess patient comfort using appropriate pain scales. Verify patient identification prior to invasive procedures, comply with CDC hand hygiene guidelines, and participate in hospital codes and emergency preparedness. Collaborate with patients and families to plan care, facilitate discharges by noon, and raise ethical concerns with the clinical team. Maintain professional development by obtaining five contact hours annually and operating Lotus Notes for resource access.

- RN - Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience
