Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care (CCU) at Scituate, MA overseeing comprehensive care via the nursing process. Responsibilities include medication administration per SSH policies, medication reconciliation, documentation of narcotic handling, development and updating of individualized care plans, timely admission assessments, ongoing patient assessment and reassessment, patient/family teaching, and discharge planning. Maintains a culture of safety, adheres to hand hygiene and universal precautions, ensures regulatory compliance, and engages in professional development. Utilizes technology (Lotus Notes, department software) and collaborates across disciplines to ensure privacy and security of patient information. Provides patient- and family-centered care, respecting patient preferences and facilitating collaborative planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Requires current RN license and may require department-specific certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, TCAR) per unit needs.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
