Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care (CCU) - 36hrs/week, nights - 7pm-7:30amx3/week

Assess, plan, and provide individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care for patients in the Critical Care Unit, strictly adhering to South Shore Hospital policies and procedures. Administer medications, perform medication reconciliation, and document narcotic administration and waste counts while verifying patient identification and maintaining a culture of safety. Develop and update prioritized plans of care, initiate admission assessments within eight hours, and reassess patient comfort and needs throughout hospitalization. Collaborate with patients and families to represent their preferences, raise ethical concerns, and facilitate discharges by noon. Utilize technological solutions like Lotus Notes, comply with regulatory requirements, and engage in professional development by obtaining contact hours and practicing within legal boundaries.
