Job Summary
Manage individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and documentation of patient outcomes. Administer medications per policy, perform medication reconciliation, and verify narcotic counts while documenting care for conditions such as CHF and PNA vaccines. Develop and update prioritized problem lists, initiate admission assessments within eight hours, and facilitate discharge or transfer by noon. Ensure patient safety by verifying identities before invasive procedures, adhering to CDC hand hygiene guidelines, and responding to hospital codes. Collaborate with patients and families to represent their needs, raise ethical concerns, and utilize interpreter services as required. Maintain compliance with legal standards, privacy regulations, and mandatory education while utilizing departmental software and Lotus Notes.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
