Job Summary
Assess, plan, and provide individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care for patients in the Critical Care Unit, coordinating medication administration, documentation, and discharge processes. Develop and update prioritized plans of care, conduct admission assessments within eight hours, and reassess patient comfort and care needs per South Shore Hospital policy. Maintain a culture of safety by verifying patient identification, adhering to CDC hand hygiene guidelines, and responding to hospital codes. Communicate daily plans via whiteboard, represent patient and family interests, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive workplace relationships.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum Education - Preferred
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience preferred
