Job Summary
Coordinate staff scheduling, educational activities, and performance evaluations while providing direct patient care as needed. Identify and resolve issues affecting clinical services and patient flow, and perform quality assurance studies to support accreditation and legal compliance. Serve as a resource for staff and external contacts regarding clinical standards, policies, and procedures. Monitor departmental adherence to The Joint Commission requirements and participate in performance improvement initiatives. Requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, current RN license, and BCLS certification. Full-time days position with on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Current RN license in state of practice
- BCLS
- Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire
- Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand)
- Critical thinking
- Decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments
- Proficiency navigating multiple clinical software systems
